Ok.... so first matters of business...

you all know it by now.

I AM ENGAGED!

I got engaged on a Saturday May 7th 2011. I got a dress before I got a ring. I found this perfect dress for me in Salt Lake City Utah at a store called Danielle's Bridal. Funny hu? I was looking for bridal shops in the GPS and Danielle's came up so we went there and my dress was there waiting for me! It was fantastic!

So I am home now, I am working too! I work at a beautiful country club, I have a fantastic view and the people there are so fun. There is this 91 year old man who comes in just about every day to work out and he is always so fun to talk to.
I got the job kind of a funny way. I went to a bridal fair and this lady was talking to me and she was telling me she wanted to do my hair for my wedding then she asked me where i was getting married and i told her the Denver Temple and she freaked out... she is mormon too, then i told her i do hair too and she told me she had to hire me. So she did! :) sweeto! I am waiting for my license to transfer from utah to here. But since i don't do hair i work up as a "concierge". I thought that was a funny word. why not call me a receptionist.

I now teach the sunbeams at church. They are so fun! I absolutely love them!

Oh my, I can't believe i haven't written more about Jonathan.
So Jonathan is the sweetest person you could ever meet. He is always thinking of others and helping people. He has such a good heart. He has 4 brothers and no sisters, and i love it! He is going to school right now and deciding what to do. He is thinking pediatrician or sports medicine. He clearly has the brains in our relationship. We are pretty opposite of each other, and that might be why we work so well together. He is organized, good at school, very intelligent, he is a little shy, but when he opens up he is hilarious, we laugh for hours. He does not love sugar, if you know me at all sugar is my main food group. And he is a rockies fan... I am working on converting him to the giants.
Speaking of rockies and giants, we went to their game the other day! on the... 16th. It was SO FUN! even though my giants lost, it was fun to be with Jonathan there.

We are currently looking at apartments, we found one we LOVE yesterday. but they have no availability right now so we are praying they will by mid june... you can pray for that too if you want.

Wedding details! Our colors are Orange, Pink, and Yellow. Gerber daisy's are part of our decorations. Our food is going to be awesome! Its carnival food! so there will be pop corn, soft pretzels, pigs in a blanket, funnel cakes? maybe. We are having a "candy bar" its just a table with a TON of candy on it. Well those are the things that i picked out, Jonathan eats more than sugar like i mentioned earlier, so we are having chicken salad sandwiches, and meatballs, and a veggie tray.

Well, I can't sleep so I decided to blog since I have nothing else to do...
except clean my room, or read my scriptures, or something actually productive.
So whats new?

I am moving home!! I am excited about it. It feels so unreal! I have done my time in Provo, and now its time for me to leave.

Looking back I am glad I decided to come to Provo for School. I have learned so much in the time I was here.

Its funny to look back 2 years. March 2009. I was a senior in high school, I was dying to leave Colorado. I was moving on to bigger and better things.. (utah? really? how creative am I?) anyways now its funny to think I am going right back to Colorado. The grass really isn't greener on the other side.

Believe it or not I have a lot to say im just not quite sure my blog is ready to handle all this info.
So... Colorado HERE I COME!! look out!

Parking in Provo...

Ok so I only have 2 parking spots at my apartment complex for 3 of the girls who live here. I usually get home last since I work the latest. This week has been just outrageous.

Tuesday Night I have to park on the street outside my apartment complex. I get into my car wednesday and I have a lovely brand new dent on the right side of my car. Oohh did the person leave you a note saying sorry!? NO!! of course not!!... parking in provo.

Wednesday I once again have to park on the street. This time "my back bumper was within 15 feet of a fire hydrant" BARELY! This time i got to park on the street because some random person was parked in one of our spots all day and all night and we didn't want to be ruthless and tow them. (what goes around comes around right?) So i park on the street. Next morning I find a lovely yellow envelope on my car. 30 bucks right there. cha ching!... parking in provo.

Thursday night... i get to park in one of the spots!! im thinkin yes! today is my lucky day!! Well i am such a retard I parked so horribly (i didn't think that but whatever) that i get a note on my car another night saying learn how to park dummie....i HATE parking in provo.

I am starting to think i shouldn't drive. I am just anticipating what will be happening tonight.

I have been blessed to know some truly amazing people, I have learned so much about cosmetology, I have made countless pizzas, I have learned how to eat healthier than mac and cheese and ramen every day, I have fallen in love with pina coladas, almond joys and Hawaiian Pizza, broken a toe, broken a heart...(just kidding i didn't do that i thought it would be funny though) I have broken down on the high way on my way to conference, I met actors from twilight, I got to go home with my amazing cousins to our family reunion/ grandmas 80th birthday. I could go on and on and on, I couldn't have done all of that and much more if it weren't for my Heavenly Father and my family. They are always with me each step of the way, even if they are 600 miles away. So my sweet family, i love you so much and i miss you each and every day, thank you for EVERYTHING.

Last month (April) I weighed 145 pounds.-- I didn't like that... I am 5'7 and i didn't like my weight one bit. Since I do what I want I decided to loose weight. All i do is drink a slim fast in the morning, eat a spinach smoothie for lunch and whatever i want for dinner. And drink a lot of water. Oh wait how much do i weigh now?!? 138 baby!! Woot woot!! I am just so excited i had to blog about it :)

Oooohhh conference.... i was so excited to go! Me and my sweet friend Courtney and I were on our way there to the saturday morning session. We were crusin along in the carpool lane and my foot's on the gas and...... power gone! Speedometer going down hitting 50 40 30 faster faster faster! oh no!! so i automatically knew it was my gas pump... i pull over to the shoulder of the highway and... ya my car was broken down. haha. luckily i have had so many car problems this month i had my insurance companies number so i could call and get it all fixed up. So my car is all fixed now but i still have to get to conference. i acutally had a lot of fun. It was a good day :-)

haha ok my life is definitely not bad... but i definitely don't want to repeat this week again... i had this AMAZING spiderman backpack... it had my school text book in it with my wonderful freshly sharpened paul mitchell hair cutting scissors in it as well.... well this backpack is right now MIA... yea that was frustrating. so life goes on I was frustrated so then I went to the temple thinking it will all get better.... im driving to Wal Mart after the temple and my car won't even re start at wal mart. awesome... im freakin out i can't figure out whats wrong with my car, these sweet strangers tried to jump my car, yea still won't start. So my lifesaver Jordan picked me up from wal mart. If it weren't for my sweet mom i don't know what I would have done. I can call her any time and she always answers... I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!! Thank you who ever invented the cell phone!

So basically have an amazing friend, live in a friendly place, count your blessings, and keep on truckin along... unless your wheels breakdown (start walking more its way better for you anyways) haha. Thanks for reading! have a good day!

Trials... Its just hard getting through them. Everyone has them. You know its all going to be better but its just hard to get to the better part. I saw a movie one time its called he's just not that into you. I love it! This is a quote from it...

Today I was driving around town, I was driving across BYU campus and I ran out of gas. I had to push my car down a hill to where it stopped and I had to sit in my car and decide what to do next. I was so blessed 2 different cars asked if they could push my car into a parking lot. I did and i got gas and headed home. I am determined to do something nice for 2 more people today. I heard this story one time about how one person got helped and went on to help another person who helped another person and a chain reaction of niceness happened. Well im sure those people who helped me are never going to read this but THANK YOU!! I was in a bind and I called my Heavenly Father instantly 2 angels came to help me out. Life is good!! Friends be sure to not let your fuel tanks go low. But if they do call me and I will come help you.

well i have always had a hard time getting my hair to curl. so i don't remember who told this to me but put all your hair up in a pony hail on top of your head, then curl your hair. then take out the pony tail when your done curling your hair, spray some hair spray and wa la... you are done. well i was thinking a few days ago about how i want to go to italy before i die...i just can't die with out going to italy. So today i decided to look up study abroad programs. I really wanted to find a cosmetology program out there, but instead i found a fashion, shoe and accessory design program out there. I never tell you this as much as I should, Im sorry this is not in person but you know me and water works would be involved if I told you this in person. Plus I don't really get to see you a lot.
Looking back on many years with you, I can't help but smile. When I look forward I can't help but cry, becuase I know we won't see each other very often, except for once a year. You are an amazing friend. You have grown up so much, it seems like every time I see you, your just that much more grown up than you were the last time I saw you. You have ALWAYS been a great example to me. I probably wouldn't have finished high school with out you. You always give me the confidence to believe in myself, you were there for me when i had NO other friends. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate that. We even joke about it now, but THANK YOU! You are so great! Thank you for being that friend, I could always call if I needed someone to talk to, or some one to vent to, or someone to laugh till I cry with. Thanks for the countless smiles you have given me. Like that one time over at Ashlees house when we were sliding down the stairs on a mattress, and you totally flew off. I still laugh out loud when i remember that. Beth, you are such a beautiful girl, and I couldn't ask for anyone else to be my best friend. Trans-Siberian Orchestra!!! My wonderful friend Chris texted me while I was driving home from Arizona with my family, and he asked me if I wanted to go and told him I would love to but I have no money to go, maybe we would go another time, and then I got a text message from him that said its free for you. He is so sweet he paid for my ticket and we went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra Together. He is a great friend, (and no its not just because he takes me to see wicked awesome bands). He is one of those people you can just talk to no matter how late it is, no matter how lame it may sound, and he is one of the most selfless people i've ever met. And I am proud to call him my friend.

I know a few of you have asked me about my boy friend... what his name is, and what he looks like and why he came to visit me. P.S. his name is Zack. well he came to visit colorado because i live here, and he wanted to visit me before his mission. Ok what he did while he was here. Well today I was just thinking about my BFF Beth... and i felt like posting about her :) well to descibe Beth in 1 word, she is helpful. Her heart is ginormous! she is willing to help anyone and she is so sweet! I think all the kids in the ward love her! so do their parents :) Beth is my best friend and she is always there for me and i am so glad she is, and i am so glad that she is in like all my classes! I remember back when we were young girls, and I seriously had NO friends, even ask beth she will tell you, but she would always invite me to her birthday parties... She did not have to do that, and it was so sweet of her!
She makes me laugh, like one day we were hanging out at the mall with our friend Lexi, and we were talking in Brittish accents trying to find as many words that start with "B" as we could... of course we looked ridiculous, but thats beth and i for ya. I love that i can be totally crazy around her... I could write on and on all day long but i just wanted to tell you beth, THANK YOU! AND I LOVE YOU! YOUARE THE GREATEST FRIEN I COULD EVER ASK FOR!

Oh my ! Recently i have been wating to go to IN-N-OUT. (my favorite and the best place for burgers you could find) Its so good! Well i wish it was here. It might even be top of my list (and yes that does mean chipotle is 2nd) hehe! anyways, if you are ever in arizona, california, or Nevada.... go to IN-N-OUT! its so good! You won't regret it i promise... its so good i ate it in my dress for my brother's wedding. :)

Ok so i love the "beautifully modest" website. actually i go there when i am bored. So the other day i was bored and i found my dream dress.. AHH! i love it! I told Joyana about it and she told me i should blog it. GOOD IDEA!! i never think to blog it!
Anyways it totally looks like a fairytale princess wedding dress. and i love it:) hehe and i love the way it poofs out at the skirt. so if you are bored too that is the dress i want to be wearing when i get married. (well at least thats what i think right now) hehe. Love ya all!

Labor Day 2008, probably my favorite labor day ever. So the wonderful Pages got 30 free tickets to Eliches (what i call 6 flags) anyways, they were wonderful and shared their tickets with us. So My family, and a few other families went up there together. I had fun, and was so glad that my parents even went. It was so fun to go on a roller coaster with my dad. I have not done that in so long and i loved it! well many ask what my favorite roller coaster is, and i would have to say, hands down that it is the mind eraser. I also got to ride it with one of my close friends (actually he is more like a brother to me) and it was so fun to hang out with him! Its crazy how life is so insain sometimes just the little things like sitting next to your friends can be one of the greatest rewards of your year.

My Driving Skills

Well I always thought I was a good driver... I still think that, I just have some, uh habbits I guess you could call it? Habit 1- I stick my leg out the window because my AC doesn't work. Habit 2-
I take off my shoes while driving ( I think it makes me a better driver actually) and last but not least Habit 3- I sing and dance while driving... it doesn't make my driving bad or anything, but lets just say I have gotten a few awkward stares.

I just realized I have not posted about California yet!! O my heck it was fantastic! I did lots of things, like hang out with family, watched a NASCAR race with Grandpa ( I love my grandpa very much) I also went to the beach, went to target and FINALLY took pictures of the shopping cart escalators (I have wanted to do that ever since I saw them!) O and I went to my brother's wedding. I went to San Francisco to go shopping, I had a blast there! While I was hanging out with my cousins at their house one day I was eating a burrito with them and they bought this "Orange Sauce" as you can imagine I loved it before I even tasted it! Let me tell you my eyes didn't. I say that because I was eating this (spicy) orange sauce and somehow it got in my eye, and it was as hot in my eye as it was in my mouth!! haha! I wish I would have gotten a picture of it, but o well. California was fantastic! But being out there with my extended family and all, I realized how much they all mean to me! It is so comforting to know families can be together forever.

So I was at my brother's apartment with him one day watching a movie with him, and his home teacher came over with some concert tickets. Jared got an extra one, and invited me to go. So day of the concert comes, I didn't even know who this Jeff Bates person was. O well... so first we went to Panera Bread, then we went to the concert (it was at a car place though hehe!). It was so fun! I love country! (well it was what he was singing so I loved him instantly!) Then I got to meet him take a picture with him and get his autograph... AHH!! It was way fun, I also loved spending time with my brother :)

♥♥♥Recently I have been looking back on all the fantastic times I have had with friends, new and old. I am so thankful for them all. They have helped me keep my standards where I want them to be, they have made me laugh until I cried, and they have just been fantastic friends! (they have also put up with me, and they are wonderful patient people for it, hehe!) I keep thinking about how I will be going to college in about a year, where to go, and if I will have any friends there. But I keep thinking, even if we are apart, we are still going to be friends forever. So to my friends, I want to say THANK YOU! This is some of my favorite memories of my brother and I just because I was hanging out with him. I sure do love him. He means the world to me, along with the rest of my family. He is my only brother, and has been there for me for lots of rough times. He is headed off to Afghanistan... I am going to miss him dearly. He will be gone for a year. So I thought I would make a post just for him, because I can. haha. He is the most kind, loving, Christlike person I know. I have had some bad times with him too though, like when he pushed me down the stairs when I was 5 and broke my arm. but when I think back on it. It really was pretty funny. Or sometimes we just go to Chipotle together, or he jokes about me every bringing home a guy and how he will beat him up. sometimes i wonder if he actually is joking. haha! I am so lucky to have been so blessed to have a wonderful brother like mine.

So probably one of my favorite days this summer, I mean its food and its free...why would I ever not like that!?! So Beth calls me and says hey if you dress up like a cow you get free Chick-Fil-A, so I am thinkin, YES i could totally use a free foodage right now!! (earlier i went to 7-11) i think about 4-5 times. So Beth and I went to 2 Chick-Fil-A's and got the free food...then we went to Joyana's (my favorite place to be!) its like a wonderful home away from home. We took the cutest twins ever (Brooke and Amber) to 7-11 and got Slurpees. At Joyana's i had Mac n cheese in a cup!! (It keeps it all warm...IS THAT SO COOL OR WHAT?!)

Girls Camp 2008 Ugotawana Highlights

This year girls camp was WONDERFUL!! I have never ever had a bad year, but this year was so fantastic! I FINALLY got to be a YCL (Youth Camp Leader) with Beth, Tori, and Amanda (wonderful girls). We had so much fun!! We all put a lot of time into it too, we all had to name our "tribe" (that is our tent) and we had to prepare 3 devotionals, decorate the tent, stuff like that. It was so much fun getting all that together though, we were all so excited to get to know our girls too... I really couldn't wait. The first day was just YCL's...that is an experience never to forget, from 4 teenage girls walking into a donut store, trying to set up tents, playing big booty, and
"Rob Rob" (Robin) telling us about Sally Joe. From the first day i knew camp was going to be fantastic.

So Day 2 (Tuesday) YCL's wake up and wait for girls to get to the camp. It felt like 100 years before they finally came, but when they did we were screaming, jumping up and down like we have not seen each other in 80 years. So we get all the girls in a circle, we do a skit that we made up off the top of our head ( like we do with everything else) then my favorite part of the day, taking our tent assignments. So we all ready knew who we had, so each tribe had a color (mine was orange of course) and earlier that day Rob Rob gave us paint, so everyone was in a circle and each YCL had her tribes paint color, and we each found our girls and put our color paint on their faces then they knew who was in their tent, and the YCL's had face paint on too. So we all had our tribes and we did an amazing team building activity that day.

Day 3 (Wednesday) POLAR BEAR DIP!! GET UP IF YOU WANT TO DO THE POLAR BEAR DIP!! Come on Dani lets go! That is what I woke up to on Wednesday. I was so warm in my sleeping bag, so i was like no way am i getting out of this warmness... next thing i know i am jumping into the lake with Kailai. It was very cold, I just jumped in with her, and that is the best method I have found to waking up. haha. Then was the 5 mile hike, it was so fun and so pretty! Liz talked to us, about dancing and what she has learned in her life, and it was so beautiful. Then that night we had a spectacular Emma Smith play i guess you could call it. It was so beautiful!! The music, everything was so amazing i can't even describe it. Liz danced a ballet and it was so graceful and pretty, I loved every minute of it. After we had fun... well the YCL's did. SNIPE HUNT!! haha!!! I laugh just thinking about it!! It really was probably the best snipe hunt in girls camp history. So us YCL's said hey we should go on a snipe hunt, and the first years and a few other year girls were like yea!! So on Tuesday leaders and everyone was buzzing about the snipe hunt, like "oh it is scary, you better bring a pillow case so you can catch them" Rob Rob told them that snipes are worth big bucks if you find them. We all told girls that snipes eyes are red... So after the Emma Smith production we get a group of girls who wanted to go. I brought my pillow case, and so did beth. Meanwhile we had Mandy go into the woods and copy our fake snipe call, throw stuff, break branches that kind of thing. So we all go on our little quest, none of the girls knew that i had a flash light from Robin that had 2 red blinky sides. So we all go, i have the flashlight, Tori, Beth, and I are all yelling "RIKKAIYA" I guess thats how it sounded, ask me sometime and I will tell you. So Tori and I are in the front, Beth is in the back, next thing i know my little sister comes up to me and tells me that a few of the girls are crying. So we all stop tell the girls its going to be ok because we have done it before. So we keep on going, and Tori and I know its time to catch a snipe so she does this like ninja roll and I just kinda belly flopped, and clicked the flash light again so now there were red blinky "eyes" and its in my pillow case. So i am shaking it around, tori picks up a rock, and we are like "ah!! Keep it still!" I then yell "IT BIT ME!" (earlier that day i cut my finger while trying to chop fruit) well i did let the snipe go, just in case you were wondering, tori's rock was the run away snipe. It took lots to convince the girls there is no such thing as snipes. There is more to the story but it will take way too long to type, so I guess if you really want to know ask me about snipe catching : part 2

Day 4 (Thursday) I don't really remember much except for the water ballet. That was funny!!!!!!! The YCL's totally made it up as we went along, and actually it was pretty good for being made up on the spot if I may say so my self. Its probably because we have all been to stake dances together and thats how we all dance together I guess. Well minus the part of me tripping over a rock and falling in the lake. That was a total Dani move right there. It was like a second Polar Bear Plunge but at sunset.

Day 5 (Friday) Last day, we pretty much did another Polar bear Plunge and took everything down and went home. That Polar Plunge was much better, there were like 5 people at that one. haha, no just kidding I don't remember how many people there were. But going home, well that was interesting, with me making my um... usual Dani-Car reaction? I am sure you really don't want to know about it.

So I realized i didn't talk about the Leaders...THEY WERE WONDERFUL!! I love them so much!! They made camp fantastic! They had wonderful ideas, and were always there for us when we needed it. I am so incredibly glad I got to know them, Robin, Joyana, Sister Harvey, Jen, and more. I feel just so blessed to know these ladys, and I am so glad I got so spend a week with them at camp. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID! I LOVE YOU LADIES!

The I ♥Carbs T-Shirt Story

So Jared had a "renewing of vows" i guess you could call it, but anyways after that I had about 3 or 4 hours till the reception, and i forgot a shirt at the hotel so i could change and get out of my dress that i could not breathe in. So i went to Wall Mart and just picked out a shirt that had Winnie The Pooh on it, i mean hey i was only going to wear it for like 4 hours. So i got it, and i got the right size and all, so i am wearing it and i look at what it actually says and it says "I ♥ Carbs" and my whole family was saying AH DANI THAT IS SO YOU!!! so that is the story, and yea i do ♥ carbs haha!!
